ASA Youth Softball Informational Meeting

This is a
reminder that Oakland ASA will be sponsoring its annual informational meeting
for
ASA Travel Teams and Youth Softball Leagues on
THURSDAY, FEBRUARY
28, 2008 at 7PM.
It will take place in the main recreation hall at the San
Lorenzo Community Center
(aka The Duckpond), 1970 Via Buena Vista, San Lorenzo,
CA 94580.
Directions are as follows:
" From Highway 880 take the
"A" Street exit and go west about a half mile.
Go right on Hesperian Blvd
for almost another half mile. Go left on Bockman Road for about three quarters
of a mile. Left on Via Chiquita. Follow Via Chiquita until it ends and turns to
the right,
where it becomes Via Buena Vista. Follow Via Buena Vista and it
will end at the community center.

can use Yahoo Maps or Mapquest to map out your route but be advised that the
route
they give you from Bockman can be somewhat confusing. The most direct route
once
you get to Bockman is the one we have given you. If you get lost you can
call
(510) 589-7279 and we'll try to guide you in. All travel team and league
representatives
are encouraged to attend. The agenda will include registration procedures
for leagues and organizations, player eligibility, rosters, qualifying for
Regional
and National Championship play, qualifications and guidelines
for "A", "B"
and "C" teams, ACE Coaching Certification, Background Checks for
coaches and
distribution of the 2008 Rulebooks, Scorebooks and Junior Olympic Handbook.
We will also be available to answer any other questions that you might have.
